About HeirVault

Why we exist
When someone is gone, or simply unreachable, the people closest to them are left opening drawers, guessing passwords, and calling banks with half a story. The important pieces were always there. They were just never left in one place the right people could claim.
HeirVault exists to change that. You leave docs, logins, bank details, and files for contacts you name. They claim when you cannot hand things over yourself. We store the copies you upload. We do not draft wills, and we do not pretend to be your lawyer.
What we believe
We believe the people you care about deserve more than scattered folders and half-remembered logins. They deserve a path that feels intentional: the right materials, for the right people, at the right time.
We also believe privacy belongs in that story. What you leave should stay yours until the contacts you name are meant to receive it. Your live vault encrypts in your browser before upload, so HeirVault stores ciphertext and cannot decrypt it.
HeirVault is how we put that belief to work: leave what matters, check in on your schedule, and let the people you trust claim their part when you cannot hand it over.
How we work
Three ideas guide every product decision.
Design for the person who has to claim under stress, not only for the person setting things up on a calm Sunday. Family comes before features.
A handoff only helps if someone can follow it. We prefer clear steps, plain language, and fewer surprises over clever complexity.
Say what the product does in ordinary words. Earn trust by being easy to understand, not by sounding louder than the next company.
Who we are
HeirVault is built by people who have sat with this problem in their own lives, and by friends and family who believe the same things: dignity for the people left behind, privacy for what you leave, and tools that ordinary households can actually use.
We are not trying to be the biggest name in the room. We are trying to be the one you would trust with something that matters.
